Accountant – Orange Walk
EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Minimum)
- At least 3 – 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a financial institution or similar environment.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- At least 3-5 years of supervisory experience
- Professional accounting designation such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent would be an asset

- Be fluent in English and Spanish, both written and oral
- Knowledge in Anti-Money Laundering, Combating the Financing of Terrorism Laws & Counter Proliferation Finance will be an asset.
- Knowledge of the banking industry in Belize and general regulatory procedures mandated by the Central Bank of Belize. (Knowledge of the Credit Union Act will be an Asset).
- Be willing to travel as required and possess a valid Driver’s License Class A.
